The Bob Pompeani Golf Classic: 30+ Years of Caring
Since 1992, the Bob Pompeani Golf Classic has raised more than $1.7 million to support programs and services throughout the Partners For Quality family of agencies.
“I’m so proud that this golf outing has grown and prospered for more than three decades,” said Pompeani, long-time Sports Anchor at KDKA-TV. “I love the fact that we can make a tangible difference in the lives of others.”
Taking place at Chartiers Country Club, the Bob Pompeani Golf Classic benefits the Partners For Quality Foundation – and in turn directly helps persons supported by Allegheny Children’s Initiative, Citizen Care, Exceptional Adventures and Milestone.
Bob isn’t just the chair of the event, he’s passionate about making it the best experience it can be for participants. For Bob, one of the highlights each year is his live auction of a golf painting done by Sandy, a talented woman supported by Citizen Care who paints with her feet.
The Bob Pompeani Golf Classic has been known to attract local celebrity participants, including Donnie Iris, Ben Roethlisberger, Charlie Batch, Merril Hoge, Steve Blass, Rich Engler, Chip Ganassi, Paul Alexander, Jeff Hathhorn and Celina Pompeani, just to name a few.
